So True!

Trust your hunches. They're usually based on facts filed away just below the conscious level.

Predictions for 2020

I will write my next year's predictions in January's newsletter. Writing them is a process and and takes reflection time. That means slowing down , writing down topics that I have something to say that might interest the readers. The topics are the same every year and include politics, the economy, health, the environment and a few more subjects.

We all make predictions everyday and yet most people don't consider themselves to be forecasters or even acknowledge that we have these talents.  We all predict everyday.  You are expecting a certain outcome, an anticipation based upon information and previous experience. Some call it knowledge. Think about your life and your own prognostications.

The Chicken Soup That Wasn't!

It had all the normal ingredients that I normally use, including, chicken bones and meat, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, bay leaf, sage, and oregano and plenty of water. Opps I forgot to mention the parsley that was tossed into the pan just before placing the lid on it.

Although all the ingredients were what I normally put into the chicken soup, my heart wasn't into making it. There wasn't much time that evening when I decided that the soup needed to happen so that the chicken bones that had been frozen for more than a month needed to be used. Maybe the soup had an intelligence and sensed that it was not created out of love or kindness and reciprocated . The soup tasted just ok, nothing special, nothing great.

Does This Make Sense?

Perhaps , just perhaps intuition is like a computer hard drive that continually running in the background collecting information and disseminating it. It has files and memory and data that can be accessed, but most of us don't take time to access it. Sometimes we don't wait long enough to received the data. It is always there and unlike a hard drive it doesn't go bad, not normally unless our memory fades and disappears. Even then there may be some access to our inner guidance.

For years I have noticed that some people have trouble both using and trusting their instincts because they do not have a logical explanation for "it." Think about it. If you want proof, there isn't always visible, tangible truth. You may be guided to make a call, send an email, visit a website, observe a person or situation for no apparent reason. All this is true. Consider this. You drive a car without understanding how all the components work. You use appliances without knowing each and everyone of them. A computer, a cell phone and an ipad are examples of THINGS that we TRUST without understanding all the components and complexities.

He Meditated And Told His....

This true story just happened a few days ago.  The following narrative is being told to protect the name of and location of  The Man I will call Scott.   Toward the end of last week I checked my email and was pleasantly surprised to see an email from Scott, whom I have not spoken to in more than a decade .  (I have fond memories of discussions with him.)  His car was stolen  earlier in the week, and he was inquiring whether or not I could assist him in locating it.

Scott was asking me if I could tune in to my intuition to assist him in locating his stolen car.  This was the first request of this kind that I have ever received.  My first reaction to reading the email was uncertainty.  Could I help him locate his car?

I called him to learn more details.  He parked the car near a neighbor's house that evening and went home.   The next morning he walked out of his house to get into his car and discovered that it was gone.  He was naturally upset and was irritated with himself for not installing theft prevention devices which he is capable of doing himself.

"Scott go meditate"

I told him that I thought that he would get a call that his car had been located but it wasn't worth searching for the car.  "Scott, go meditate.  Get quiet and tell your car to make itself known."  I knew that it sounded crazy but I believed it.   I have witnessed people telepathically  telling lost pets to make themselves seen so that they can be found. Sometime they do and are located.  Sometimes they come home on their own.  I have worked with clients who struggle for answers and meditate for guidance and possibilities.  Scott listened to my suggestion and said that he would meditate.

"Please let me know what happens." He assured me that he would and thanked me for the conversation which eased his irritation and anxiety.

Today in my email inbox was an email from Scott.  He did meditate and a few hours later his phone rang.  It was a police officer calling him to inform him that his car had been found undamaged.  The only thing missing was a bag with a few tools in it.

Feel Good Story

I was thrilled for him.  Was it the meditation?  Would the car have been found anyway?  Was it a coincidence?  There are no answers.  This is a feel good story.  Hope that you have enjoyed reading this.
