There is no such thing as knowing it all or having it heard it all. I recently talked with a friend who is a recovering alcoholic. this man has close to 20 years of recovery and attends Alcoholic Anonymous (AA) meets often, sometimes daily. a few short weeks ago, he was talking to another AA member who also has many years of sobriety. The two men had just come from a morning meeting and had just heard one of the most profound stories that either one of them had heard in the many years that the two had attended meeting. They both shook their heads. One said to the other “I thought that I had heard it all. I don’t know if I would have had the courage to share that secret.” The other one nodded in agreement.
This was a reminder to me that no matter how much I have seen and heard, there is always more and more. Hence, this blog. Did you know that the Humane Society offered a degree program. For more information, visit www.humanesocietyuniversity.org. I have read that it is the first university in the world to offer a bachelor’s degree in animal policy and advocacy. Comments anyone?
