4 or more cups of water
Add a pinch of chopped or grated fresh ginger or dried ginger. (Substitute nutmeg.)
Simmer it until you can smell the ginger or nutmeg.
Add cardamom pods (4-7) and/or a pinch of cardamom powder. When you can smell the cardamom,
Add a small stick or two of cinnamon and /or one -fourth Tsp. cinnamon
Simmer this for about 2-4 minutes.
Add 4-8 cloves and / or one-fourth Tsp. powdered cloves.
Add a few (5-10) black peppercorns
Add black tea (Assam/ Nilgiri work well). For each cup of tea add one Tsp. –one Tbsp. of black tea.
Add milk of any kind (canned, soy, almond, coconut, whole milk) to lighten it up so that it looks like coffee.
You can add honey, sugar, stevia, and extracts (vanilla, almond, orange).
