A friend recently sent me this link to this article about traveling with cats. It reminded me of how many people who live with feline/felines tell me HOW much their beloved four legged one/s DO/DOES not like the CAR. I have heard more stories about crying, screaming cats in cars. I once took my young sick kitten Lena in the car for a trip to the vet’s office. I had been using alternative medicines and she still was coughing and sneezing. It was probably time for an antibiotic. the vet was about 10-15 minutes from my house. I put Lena in her carrier and buckled her into the front seat of the car. I was trying to reassure her that she would be fine, knowing full well that she was going to get a thermometer inserted up her butt. “It is okay Lena. We will be there soon. The doctor is going to make you feel better.” I didn’t believe my own words. Yet, I assumed that I could con my young kitty. What a joke. The joke was on me!! Within a few minutes, I began to sniff a foul smell. Yes, Lena excreted a large organic pile of feline manure. Yes, I was full of crap and she wasn’t fooled!
